Offense and Defense are the basic combat stats. They usually range from 0 to 9.
The essential formula for Attack Damage is:
Offense - Defense = Damage done = Subtracted from Life
Attacks must do positive Damage for Life to be modified. Many things influence the Attack calculation. Refer to Attacks for more details.
The baseline Offense, Defense, and Health of a card is determined by its Rank and Echelon.
