Overall power of the card measured roughly by

  • average damage per game per play * Damage Factor +
  • average healing per game per play * Healing Factor +
  • average protection per game per play * Protection Factor +
  • observed utility (measured on the same scale)

Thus, we measure power per card at every game it is played, and then average it over all games over all players. All games ever played are recorded for later data mining (and posterity, of course :-)

Thus, it is very important when we do combat calculations to properly attribute power to all contributing cards. A palisade may never attack but prevent 20 points of damage per game, making it a very powerful card. Moreover, we should track statistics per ability as well, to independently rate ability power.
