The various epidemics are much less deadly to native americans than in the real world, so the various tribes and nations are stronger and the colonists made fewer inroads. In various incremental ways, the colonists and natives learn to coexist and mutually assimilate each other over time and eventually the revolutionary war results in the native Mississippian mound builders and Iroquois-speaking five (now eight) nations tribes throwing in with the colonists and being considered founding states.
